Dominic Gorton

Following a career of 39 years with HSBC Group I retired in MAR19. The largest part of my career was spent in the Risk Management discipline - supporting Corporate Banking, Treasury and Capital Markets and for 15 years the Private Bank. Since 2001 I have undertaken Global leadership roles. I was seconded to the UK Government in 2014 to be the Chief Risk Officer for the Homes and Communities Agency (now Homes England) returning to the HSBC Group in MAR17 as Global Head of Affiliate Due Diligence within Financial Crime Risk Management.

As a practising Catholic this has been a driving force in my work life, values and principles. I was an active member of the Canary Wharf Christian Community for over 10 years before retiring in MAR19.

After a year of full retirement, I returned to the work environment in JUL20 taking temporary part time roles within UK Government and more recently back in the Financial Services Industry.

I am married with 5 grown up children and three grandchildren.

It is an absolute pleasure and privilege to be a Trustee at St Jospeh’s and I am hoping to bring my experience from previous roles to help at a Strategic level. Also, I hope to share my own personality to work with everyone in enhancing our environment where we can and also ensuring that the provision remains at the highest level.

Martin Hill

My name is Martin Hill and I have been a registered Social Worker for over 20 years, having worked in both the statutory and voluntary sectors at a senior managerial level. My experience spans both children’s and adult’s services and includes particular focus within the disability, leaving care and palliative care specialisms. My current role as a Consultant Social Worker affords me the opportunity to promote safeguarding within the sports sector, where I chair national safeguarding and disciplinary panels for numerous high-profile sports, as well as sitting as a vice-chair of a fostering panel for a national fostering service. I enjoy having family time and walking our lovely cocker spaniel, taking regular trips to Cornwall and expanding my culinary experience by visiting a variety of gastropubs and restaurants!
