Safeguarding

St Joseph’s Specialist Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We have comprehensive Child Protection and Safeguarding Policies and Procedures in place which we refer to in our prospectus. All Trustees, members of the Education Governing Committee and Staff (including supply staff and volunteers) must ensure that they are aware of these procedures. Families and young people are welcome to read the Policy which can be found on our website.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our young people are discussed unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to their welfare or under the direction of the Local Safeguarding Children’s Partnership.
