No limits... Just possibilities
St. Joseph’s Specialist Trust is a Non-Maintained Special School, College, Registered Children’s Home and vulnerable adult Supported Living home.
All our students at St. Joseph’s have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and have a range of complex special needs including Autism, Speech and Language difficulties, social communication difficulties, moderate / severe learning difficulties, ADD / ADHD and sensory processing difficulties.
St. Joseph’s is registered and approved by the DfE and is a registered Children’s Home under the Children’s Home Regulations 2015.
St. Joseph’s has students of various faiths and none.
Initial contact may be made by families or the relevant Local Authority. Families should send in a copy of the young person’s EHCP and up to date reports including the annual review report and actions; the families will be invited to make an informal visit to see St. Joseph’s and meet with members of staff to discuss their child. Initial enquiries from Local Authorities should be made by telephone or by submitting papers to the Admissions Officer.
Once contact has been made by the relevant authority a representative is likely to assess the student at their current school or at home and following this, a period of assessment is arranged at St. Joseph’s.
Following the assessment visits, which includes informal ‘assessment’, a decision will be made as to whether or not a place can be offered to the child or young person based on whether St. Joseph’s is able to meet need.
St. Joseph’s has a tiered fee structure depending on the phase of education being accessed and the level of need of the individual child.
