St. Joseph’s system of pastoral care means that every student has a number of people to turn to when they need support including teachers, teaching assistants, inclusion support mentors, therapists and residential care staff.
St. Joseph’s approach to pastoral care and support plays a critical role in helping students to:
Remove barriers to learning, particularly inappropriate behaviours and emotional difficulties
Kick start learning and achievement
Increase in confidence and motivation to make good choices
Increase their independence
