Collective Worship

Collective worship, in the form of Masses, Assemblies and Class/Tutor Group worship, occupies an important and unique place within the life of St. Joseph’s Specialist Trust. It provides an opportunity for members of the school community to pause from activity, to gather together, to remind ourselves and to reflect upon the values which bind the school community together.

It provides the opportunity for pupils and students to worship God, to consider spiritual and moral issues and their own beliefs. It encourages participation and response whether through active involvement in the presentation of worship or through listening to, and joining in worship offered.

In this way, we aim both to affirm and protect the identity of all members of the school community.
